These rules are not comprehensive and may be modified at any time by the campground either verbally, in writing or by use of signage.

To create an enjoyable and safe environment for all guests, all campers must agree to and abide by the following Terms & Conditions and Campground Rules as a condition of access and use of the property.

1. Non-Residency

This campground is for recreational use only and does not establish tenancy or residency. Guests may not use the campground address for billing, legal, or residency purposes. Delivery of packages from private carriers (e.g., Amazon, food, or retail delivery services) is permitted; however, mail and packages from the United States Postal Service are not accepted. The campground is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged deliveries.

2. Use of Property at Your Own Risk

All guests use the campground and its amenities at their own risk. The campground is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their visitors.

3. Nature, Wildlife, & Inherent Risks

Guests acknowledge and understand that camping and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks, hazards, and dangers that may result in injury, property damage, or death.

Such risks include, but are not limited to:

  • Uneven, unstable, or slippery surfaces
  • Falling limbs, trees, or natural debris
  • Severe or changing weather conditions including lightening, wind, rain, and flooding
  • Fire, smoke, burns, and use of grills, fire rings, or propane equipment
  • Encounters with wildlife, insects, reptiles, and domestic animals
  • Exposure to plants, allergens, or naturally occurring environmental conditions
  • Recreational activities including walking, biking, swimming, and use of campground facilities
  • The actions or negligence of other guests

By entering the property, guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with these conditions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the campground is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from these inherent risks, except where caused solely by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Guests agree to:

  • Exercise reasonable care and caution at all times
  • Supervise all children and dependents
  • Follow all posted rules and staff instructions

No refunds, credits, or compensation will be provided for disruptions, interruptions, or conditions arising from these inherent risks.

4. Utilities & Services

Wi-Fi is provided as a convenience; service is not guaranteed and may not be suitable for critical use.

5. Safety & Conduct
  • Respect neighboring campers, properties, and campground spaces.
  • Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate conduct toward staff or fellow campers is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
  • No cutting through or parking on occupied or unoccupied sites.
  • No trespassing beyond designated campground areas or marked trails.
  • Observe and obey posted speed limits of 5 MPH through the campground at all times.
  • Children under 16 must wear helmets when riding bicycles.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of their children at all times.
6. Campsite Use
  • One family and one camping unit per site. Base rate includes 4 occupants; additional guests (up to 6 total) are charged per person, per night.
  • Units must remain on wheels with approved jacks
  • Your RV must have insurance and be registered with supporting paperwork
  • No selling of any items in the manner of a garage sale is permitted
7. Guests & Visitors
  • All visitors must register at the office
  • Max 4 visitors at a time
  • Visitors must park in designated areas
  • Overnight guests will incur a fee
  • No visitor pets
  • You are responsible for your guests
8. Pets
  • Must be leashed at all times (Max: 8ft)
  • Must be up-to-date on vaccinations with documentation on file
  • No unattended pets
  • Waste must be cleaned immediately ($50 fee for violations)
9. Arrival & Departure
  • Check-In: 1:00pm
  • Check-Out: 12:00pm

Early arrivals and late departures are subject to a $25 fee.

10. Quiet Hours
  • 10:00pm to 8:00am
  • Fires must be extinguished by midnight
11. Cleanliness & Appearance
  • Campsites must be kept clean and free of litter.
  • All trash must be placed in dumpsters.
  • No cigarette butts or trash left on the ground or disposed of in fire rings.
  • Dog waste must be picked up and disposed of properly.
  • Cardboard must be broken down before disposal.
  • Campsites must remain neat and uncluttered.
  • No carpets on grass.
12. Prohibited Items
  • Fireworks
  • Firearms
  • Illegal activities
  • ATVs, mopeds, or similar vehicles
  • Political/religious signs or banners
  • “For Sale” signs
  • Outside firewood ($100 fee applies)
13. Allowed with Restrictions
  • Motorcycles allowed (idle only when entering/exiting the gate)
  • Swimming in designated areas only (at your own risk)
  • Fishing permitted with license (catch & release only)
  • Golf Carts: Permitted for seasonal campers only. All carts must be registered with the campground and carry valid off-property insurance. Drivers must hold a valid permit or license. Registration fees are as follows:
    • Single Cart: $250 per season
    • Additional Cart: $175 per season
    • Retirement (65+): Single Cart: Free
    • Retirement (65+): Additional Cart: $125 per season
14. Fires, Firewood, & Propane
  • Fires allowed in designated fire rings only
  • Max height: 2 feet
  • Never leave fires unattended
  • No burning trash or construction materials
  • No outside or out-of-state firewood ($100 fee applies)
  • All firewood and propane sales are final and non-refundable.
15. Site Assignments

Site assignments may be changed at any time at the sole discretion of campground management. If a paid site lock cannot be honored, the fee will be refunded or applied to a future balance depending on the circumstances.

The following are not permitted if deemed cluttered or excessive:

  • Household furniture
  • Decorative flags, signs, or ornaments
  • Enclosed steps, structures, or fencing
16. Site Additions & Equipment
  • Tarps allowed only for firewood (Max: 8’x10’)
  • Patio lights allowed (no longer than awning length)
  • No floodlights or excessively bright lighting
  • No external antennas without approval
  • Starlink permitted (no wires across roads)
  • No gardens unless in removable containers
17. Payments & Authorization

By completing a reservation, you authorize the campground to charge your card on file for any applicable charges including, but not limited to:

  • Site fees
  • Guest fees
  • Late fees
  • Damages
  • Departure Site Cleaning fees
  • Outstanding balances

Unpaid balances may result in denied access, removal, or immobilization of vehicles until paid in full.

Late payments may incur a $25 late fee per charge plus interest of 1.5% per month (18% annually), or as otherwise outlined in a Camping Agreement.

18. Removal & Refusal of Service

The campground reserves the right to refuse service or immediately remove any guest, occupant, or visitor for behavior deemed inappropriate, unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or in violation of campground policies.

Removal results in forfeiture of all payments with no refunds.

19. Vehicle Enforcement

Unauthorized vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. Vehicles or RV’s associated with unpaid balances may be immobilized. A $50 removal fee applies in addition to all outstanding charges.

20. Communication Consent

By completing your reservation, you consent to receive communication via phone, email, and text (SMS/MMS), including reservation updates and promotional offers. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time.

21. Media Release

Premises are under video surveillance.
Entry onto the property constitutes permission for the campground to photograph or video guests and use such media for lawful purposes without compensation.

22. Rules & Policy Changes

Rules and policies may be updated at any time without notice and may be communicated via website, email, or campground staff.

23. Extended Stay Requirement (29+ Days)

Any reservation made for 29 days or more requires a signed Revocable Camping License and Permit Agreement prior to check-in.

This agreement governs payment terms, refunds, site use, and enforcement of policies for long-term reservations.

In the event of any conflict, the Camping Agreement supersedes these Terms & Conditions.

Failure to sign the required agreement may result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.

24. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to riverbend@camphappygrounds.com.

A $35 cancellation fee applies to reservations of 28 days or less.

Short-Term Stays (28 Days or Less)

  • Cancellation 14+ days prior to arrival → Full refund, less the $35 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation 4-13 days prior to arrival → 50% refund, less the $35 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation 3 days or less prior to arrival → No refund
  • Same-day reservations → Non-refundable

Changing reservation dates may result in a 25% rebooking fee, and the reservation will become non-refundable

Extended Stays (29 Days or More)

All payments and deposits are non-refundable unless expressly designated as a refundable security deposit in the Revocable Camping License and Permit Agreement.

In addition to the Cancellation Policy, no refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments will be issued for early departures, whether voluntary or otherwise, or for any removal by management as permitted under campground rules or applicable law.
Any exception to this policy must be expressly authorized in writing by Happy Grounds Management or Campground General Manager.
All firewood and propane sales are final and non-refundable.
